About Narayana Health

Narayana Health (formerly Narayana Hrudayalaya) is one of India's largest for-profit private hospital networks, operating hospitals and heart centres across major Indian cities. Their digital platform serves as the primary touchpoint between the hospital and its patients — enabling appointment booking, consultations, medical report access, and medication tracking.

In this role, I collaborated with cross-functional teams to design intuitive, user-centred digital health solutions across web, mobile web, and app. I created and refined screens based on user needs and industry trends, partnered with developers on quality checks, worked with project managers to clarify requirements, and aligned with the business team to understand product goals for upcoming launches.

Feature Revamp — Core App Experience

A platform people needed to trust

The company's app served as a foundational healthcare platform — enabling patients to book appointments, access consultations and medical reports, and track prescribed medicines. However, the experience lacked cohesion: health tracking was scattered, goals weren't personalised, and there was no unified wellness layer connecting it all.

The challenge was to design a mobile-first experience that unified health tracking, goal personalisation, and wellness content under a single, consistent design language — without disrupting the existing journeys patients already relied on.

"Design a mobile-first experience that unified health tracking, goal personalisation, and wellness content with a consistent design language."

Modular features, seamless journeys

I designed modular features — including Health Score Tracking and Personalised Goals — that could work independently but feel cohesive together. I mapped clear user journeys end-to-end, and ensured seamless automation with health devices so data flowed without friction.

Every screen was designed to feel reassuring and clear — the kind of calm, trustworthy interface that patients returning from a doctor's appointment need, not the anxiety-inducing density typical of medical apps.

A measurable impact

The result was a cohesive, scalable mobile experience that supported personalised fitness journeys and enabled a high-quality feature rollout.

Whitelabelling — King's College Hospital, Dubai

Adapting a product for a new context

Whitelabelling the core Narayana Health platform for King's College Hospital Dubai required more than a visual re-skin. The product needed to serve a different patient demographic, in a bilingual environment (English and Arabic), with a distinct design language aligned to the King's College brand.

I customised core product features, incorporated clean illustrations and a refreshed design system, and ensured the experience was fully localised for both English and Arabic — including RTL layout considerations and culturally appropriate visual choices.

01
Core Feature Adaptation

Customised existing modules to fit King's College's service model and patient workflows without rebuilding from scratch.

02
Bilingual Design

Designed for both English and Arabic, accounting for RTL text direction, character density, and cultural visual preferences.

03
New Design Language

Developed a clean illustration style and updated the visual system to reflect King's College's brand while maintaining usability standards.

04
Design Audits

Conducted thorough design audits to ensure consistency and quality across every screen before handoff to development.

Whitelabelling — Hospital in Malaysia

SaaS design for a new market

The third engagement involved adapting the platform for a Malaysian hospital client, focusing on SaaS and web-based delivery. This required designing foundation modules as reusable workflows, maintaining a consistent design language, and delivering an intuitive experience across a new regional context.
